Help International Consulting (HIC) is a non-profit limited liability company (gGmbH) registered in Germany.
Established to strengthen international cooperation, donor engagement, and policy dialogue, HIC builds on over 40 years of operational excellence by Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe.
We offer a flexible, globally adaptable platform for consultancy and services in the development cooperation and humanitarian action. Operating through embedded country teams and trusted partnerships, we follow international quality standards to deliver measurable and lasting impact.

Help International Consulting (HIC) gGmbH is the institutional extension of Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe e.V. Legally registered as a GmbH in Germany, it operates as a non-profit legal entity dedicated to inclusive and sustainable development cooperation.
The establishment of the gGmbH marks a strategic evolution from the parent e.V., ensuring continuity in values while increasing operational agility and legal capacity. It reinforces Help's international development cooperation goals by providing a dedicated institutional instrument for complex tenders, regional programs and policy engagement.
Rooted in over 40 years of Help's credible delivery, clean audits and deep local networks, Help International Consulting carries forward shared quality standards and values. Help International Consulting (HIC) gGmbH scales and reinforces Help’s cooperation goals by providing a dedicated institutional instrument for complex regional programs and policy engagement in an agile and sustainable way.
Through local offices and strong partnerships in over 30 countries, Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe has built extensive political, social, and environmental understanding. Regional hubs and country offices ensure locally informed project management, trusted relationships, and effective coordination with national stakeholders.
